I can’t believe it’s been this long since I posted. I really must make this a regular diary entry so I can keep you all up to date with what’s going on in the world of Verbena.
We have already added some fantastic new products to the site. They are mainly baby shower favours but we have plans to add to the baby gifts section in the coming weeks. These cross design photo frames have proved to be very popular so far.
If there is anything particular that you would like to see on the site do let us know and we will do our best to source it. Keep checking the blog and I’ll try and do a better job of posting updates. I’ll make it my belated New Years resolution.

I hope that you have nearly finished all your Christmas shopping. Our last guaranteed posting day is Monday 19th December so any last minute orders we will take up until then.
We have lots of wrapping to do this weekend but we are getting quite organised for Christmas and the to do list is gradually decreasing. Then the food shopping starts…
We are going to have a few days holiday over the Christmas period. We will be in the office up until 23rd December. The 26th and 27th the office will be closed but we will be open on the 28th and 29th for any babys who arrive over the Christmas period who you would like to buy a gift for. We will be closed on the 30th December and 2nd January but back to normal on the 3rd January.

Have you all started your Christmas shopping yet? Nobody has started here but everybody has good intentions of getting online soon and getting the list started. I love Christmas, especially the run up and preperations. It’s nice when our customers share in the excitement and there is always a nice feeling when we know we have helped someone pick a gift that a baby will love. With this spell of crazy weather well and truly over we thought we would get you in the festive spirit and outline our best Christmas sellers. Some things will sell out really quickly so do get your orders in promptly to avoid disappointment. The personalised santa bauble is the earliest best seller this year, this is a gift that is often given before Christmas so it can be used to decorate the Christmas tree. These are beautiful baubles and particularly so with their personalised message. The personalised breakfast set is the second best Christmas seller. A great gift for little children to use on Christmas day morning and throughout the festive period.
So, get your orders in early, the lead time is 7-10 days for the personalised products.

Just as we were putting our Summer clothes to the back of the wardrobe it is announced by weather forecasters that there will be a heatwave. I was really looking forward to wearing my chunky knits again so I’m probably one of very few who is disappointed by this news! We were having a rush on sales of baby blankets but this has slowed down a bit with this news. We have lots of stock in now so do get your orders in soon as we all know that this warm weather won’t last. For a bit of inspiration I’ve included a photo of our best selling baby blankets to keep your little ones toastie during the cold months.

We are seeing a big increase at the moment in baby boy gifts sales – there must be an increase in the birth of baby boys at the moment! The meaning of name prints are proving particularly popular, the gorgeous blue backgrounds make them a perfect gift for a little boy’s nursery or playroom. Personalised baby gifts are also proving really popular for baby boys, especially the money boxes. They are a lovely gift to display but also one that a little boy will treasure for many years as he counts up his pocket money.

We have just added a lovely new baby rocker to the site that we are sure will be loved by all the family. It is a gorgeous gift to give for Christmas, not only will baby love it but it is a lovely piece of furniture that is sure to be treasured for years to come. This is our favourite of our rocking baby toys as it is so beautifully crafted and is a great addition to any lounge or family room. It has been tested on many little ones who have loved rocking away on it and playing with their new friend, Mr Snail.

Yes, we know, we know – it’s only August and already we are talking about that dreaded word, Christmas! We added some new Christmas products the other day just to get those early birds who are already thinking about Christmas. There will be plenty more added in the coming weeks and months so don’t worry about missing out. The Christmas baby gifts so far are gorgeous smiling santa design products – a breakfast set, plastic mug, money box, Santa’s mince pie plate. They are really lovely gifts to give the little ones during the Christmas period.

We recently added some personalised door plaques to the site and last night I took the little monster door plaque round to my nephew’s house for his 3rd birthday present. He was absolutely delighted with it and insisted it be put up straight away. He was so chuffed to have his name on the door as he has just been learning how to spell it. I couldn’t recommend it more highly as a gorgeously designed, personalised baby gift for little boys or girls.
Our other news is that we have finally joined Facebook and have set up a page to keep you updated with products and news.
